Apache Point Observatory

The many telescopes of Sunspot and Apache Point provide a wealth of knowledge to university researchers, while smaller endeavors such as Earthrise Institute and the Tzec Maun Foundation give similar views of the heavens to students and amateurs around the world.

Apache Point, near Sunspot, is a bit less visitor-friendly than its nearby neighbor. The grounds include a short walk between telescopes, but few inside public viewing opportunities while daily research is conducted.
