A full-scale replica of the Mars Exploration Rovers, also known as Spirit and Opportunity, is on display at the New Mexico Museum of Natural History & Science.

Sandia National Laboratories has been a pioneer in the use of robotic systems for tasks ranging from interplanetary exploration or security of the nation’s nuclear arsenal.

Getting There: From Interstate 40, take Rio Grande Boulevard south about half a mile to Mountain Road, then east on Mountain Road less than a half a mile to the Museum, turning north on 18th street to the parking lot. The Museum entrance is on 18th Street.
Hours of Operation: The New Mexico Museum of Natural History and Science is open from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM every day except Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day.
Cost: Exhibits and planeterium, $7/adult, $6/senior, $4/child;
Dynatheater $10/adult, $8/senior $6/child
